As you all know the rumoured, and eagerly awaited, tablet macintosh is predicted to be available next year. But it is little known that the hard work is already done, and has been for some time. Axitron is a company that has developed tablet macs for some time now. The modbook is a modified mac book pro with only a stylus. The modbook retails on their site from $2,248 dollars onwards; available cheaper from certain internet businesses.

The Axitron Modbook actually exceeds the system performance of the original, because Axitron have updated the hardware with a faster processor and control board. Bluetooth keyboards and mice can be connected to it as you would with any normal macbook, providing you with a full computer when you need one.

so i found out there was a fair today so i decided to go and i did and had fun with some of my friends

Compulsory Education

I want to live in a community where you need to have at least a high school diploma to be able get a full time job. We need to move forward and not stay on the same place and if more students stay in school and continue their studies after school we will move to a better tomorrow.

After 16 some students start thinking of school as a juvenile detention center but they shouldn’t because, schools are not only for learning Math, Science, or English they are also a place where students social skills. As my fellow class mate Mauricio Morales from East Valley High stated, if students drop out of school the crime rate will go up because as police statistics show that the crime rate goes up after students are released from school to the time their parents get home and with more minors out of school grounds they will get into problems and create mischief. If the “drop outs” get the signature from their parents allowing them to drop out then that will influence other kids to nag their parents until the parent has to sign the permission sheet letting him/her to drop out.

As The Home School Court Report read, compulsory education first started in Massachusetts in 1852. In the next 15 years no one followed in Massachusetts steps until 1867 when a lot of states began accepting the compulsory education law. By 1918 all states had enacted the law. In 1887 only Washington had required that you need to be 18 to drop out of school. Now only 14 states have that requirement.

If students stay in school they will be safe, out of trouble, and maybe even learn something. What more schools should do is let students that have good behavior and relatively good grades out early on special occasions and that might encourage the students who don’t want to be at school to do their work and behave good to leave school early.

Should students be able to drop out at 18 and not at an earlier age? Parents shouldn’t be able to sign a peace of paper giving teenagers authority to drop out of school and do what they want. Crime, drugs, and sex will most likely influence students dropping out of school, which is not necessarily a good thing. We don’t want that to happen do we?

Great Windows Driver finder

Driver Genius Professional Edition is in my opinion the best driver finder.

Lets say you are in this scenario; You are using your computer and it crashes and corrupts all your files so it gets to the point where you have to have to re-install your windows system. Once installed you notice that your sound doesn’t work and it says that you need to get your sound driver how would you do that? you could do it manually but instead of going through the frustration of looking website through website or if you are just too lazy too look for it just use Driver Genius in a couple of minutes you will have your sound driver back and any other driver your computer is missing or even update them.

Pros | Cons

Pros: Its Simple to use, it updates your drivers, uninstalls unwanted drivers, easy to update, restores missing drivers, and before it installs any drivers it makes a back up incase anything goes wrong.

Cons: The only con is it costs $29.95 for one key but totally worth it [price ranges vary when you buy in bulk]

Bored of your Mac’s default theme?

here is a cool piece of software that i found its called Magnifique.

What Magnifique does is, it lets you tweek your Mac’s theme… For example you are bored of seeing the same old gray theme you Mac brings and want to make a change Magnifique will let you. It comes packed with many themes you could download and apply in a couple of seconds and before you download the themes it shows you a preview, before applying the theme it saves a back up of the original theme just in case you want your Mac to have its original theme back. oh yeah and it even lets you create your own theme if you would like.
e.g.

Pros | Cons
Pros: It is simple to use and is freeware.
Cons: I don’t know if it’s just on my Mac that it doesn’t work but when a theme has a modded menu-bar the software doesn’t change the menu-bar theme.
I would give Magnifique an 8.5/10
